Born in northern Florida, VAI found herself moving across the U.S. to Montana with her large family as a child. There she visited Glacier National Park each weekend immersing herself in the natural beauty of the outdoors.

Studying art and music since childhood, VAI found inspiration not only in the scenic beauty of nature, but also in the fictional worlds within the written word. This added a delicate, ethereal feeling to her creations.

This is not a false-color image: the greenish color is caused by the high concentration of phytoplankton. (Broerse et al. 2003, Continental Shelf Research, 23, 1579-1596). (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Overtime, she not only experimented in photography, poetry and various art mediums, she continued to learn new techniques in music as well. VAI participated in exhibitions in not only art, but was also invited to participate in various music festivals and concerts as well. Currently, she is focusing on the various painting mediums along with the mediums found in jewelry making. However, her love for music continues as she learns new instruments and techniques.

Now living in Alaska, VAI finds inspiration in her magical childhood and the ancient civilizations throughout time.
